The Office of Overseas Citizens Services (OCS) in the U.S. Department of State, and our embassies and consulates overseas, are charged with providing consular protection and services to United States citizens abroad. The safety of U.S. citizens traveling and residing abroad is the highest priority of the Department of State.

American Citizens with questions or concerns may telephone the Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Kampala at (256) (41) 259 791, ext. 3137. In the case of an emergency outside business hours or during any suspension of public services American Citizens may reach the Embassy duty officer by calling (256) (41) 259 791.
